With this structure of central nucleus breeding combined with state-of-the-art novel breeding techniques, they can accelerate genetic progress considerably. In addition, they can breed perfectly for new traits that has not been possible until recently. Traits vital for a sustainable future and better animal welfare.

Delta Canada, Delta Norway, and Innova Canada are in countries with the highest health status. Allowing genetic progress to be brought to customers faster than ever before so that they can benefit as soon as possible from the results achieved.

Topigs Norsvin signed a letter of commitment with Science Based Targets initiative to set near-term goals for reducing greenhouse gas emissions in line with the 1.5 degree Celsius pledge.

Furthermore, Topigs Norsvin's genetic progress leads to a substantial reduction in the environmental impact at customers’ farms. The progress of all traits in the breeding goal has led to an annual 2% increase in feed efficiency. This means that less feed is needed for the same amount of pork, less land is needed to produce this feed, the pigs produce less manure, and fewer greenhouse gases are produced.
